I/O Error ready non-commercial dvd

Post by fpefpe » Mon Dec 23, 2013 2:02 am

Sorry -- I posted this in the wrong forum ---

Hello --

I got a dvd from a friend -- It a rip of a home movie that was first created on a vcr tape.

I tried to rip it to mkv format, but just at the end of the process -- about 1 or 2 seconds left, I get an i/o error.

here is the info from the console

DEBUG: Code 0 at l1;{3&6hr=C{IiB}Air:29395862

I then tried dvdfab -- an it was able to copy the files -- I then tried imgburn and that was able to make a ISO
image from the disk -- I did have "ignore i/o errors" on with imgburn

Is there a way to ignore errors with makemkv?

Thanks
