Upon converting the movie to MKV, the program crashes and continuously writes a repetitive report (attached) which I stopped when it hit 15MB.

This should have been fixed in 1.6.15 . What happens if you DISABLE debug log - will it eventually work?

It gets to about 75% then jumps to finish about 8-9seconds after the error shows up. It does finish the file, and it is playable, but there is no video for the remaining 25% of the video.

My video freezes in the hotel room scene with the 'cougar'. Is yours in the same area too?

Beginning of Chapter 23 - "The Gilroy"? That's where mine freezes.

I've just checked my DVD ISO rip and that plays fine so it's the MKV version only, whether ripped from the ISO or direct from the disc itself.

Same here, right about a minute in. Very odd.

So then can it be the problem with DVD in this case?

I don't believe that's the case, since the playback before conversion, plays just fine. Also, I can use Handbrake to convert it to MKV, but I have a love hate relationship with H.264 that handbrake uses, and I'd much rather use the original MPEG2 from the dvd. But I digress.
Speaking of which, Paulster, if you have your DVD case around for 'Ocean's Thirteen', could you please PM the UPC on the DVD Box to "mike admin". I have mine locked up in storage (along with my other 900+ DVD cases) and I haven't had the time (or willpower) to dig for it. If they'd just stamp it on the disc somewhere I could just get it out of my DVD binder =/.

Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead - but what was the fix for this?

I'm having the exact same problem with my copy of Ocean's 13.
