Error with "The Last Unicorn" DVD

Post by Choque » Sat Jun 04, 2011 9:22 pm

When trying to open the DVD "The Last Unicorn" MakeMKV reports this in the log field on the bottom

Code: Select all

MakeMKV v1.6.10 win(x64-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
Complex multiplex encountered - 11 cells and 10260 VOBUs have to be scanned. This may take some time, please be patient - it can't be avoided.
Title #0 (1:28:55) was skipped due to navigation error
Failed to open disc
Also at the top the error occurs when it's in "Current Cell 4/11" and "Current VOBU 4057/10260"

The DVD is on my computer as an ISO and I mount it with DaemonTools. I also tried it with a burned copy of the ISO but it gives the same error. And yes, the burned version and the ISO work without a problem.

Hi!

Actually, MakeMKV prefers to be directly fed UN-mounted .ISO image files instead of mounted .ISO image files...

Please enable debug messages in preferences and post the log.

The same happens when loading the ISO directly into MakeMKV

hash=03F224A234703447

"Hash" messages are indicative of either a failing drive or dirty/damaged disc...

This line is completely different from a hashcheck error.

From the log it definitely looks like a disc mastering error. To begin, please send all IFO files per instructions at http://www.makemkv.com/faq/item/8/catid/6
