Failed Main Movie Rip

Post by jbrip » Mon Nov 11, 2024 1:11 am

So I have a DVD called, "Dolls" 2019.

It rips the commercials but does not rip the main movie. And it doesn't seem to create a dump file or tgz file. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

This code is for everything check-marked (commercials, extras and trailers):

Code: Select all

Saving 6 titles into directory C:/Users/Videos
AV synchronization issues were found in file 'C:/Users/Videos/A1_t00.mkv' (title #1)
AV sync issue in stream 4 at 0:00:00 : Track #4 turned out to be empty and was removed from output file
Failed to save title 1 to file C:/Users/Videos/C1_t01.mkv
AV synchronization issues were found in file 'C:/Users/Videos/A1_t02.mkv' (title #3)
AV sync issue in stream 4 at 0:00:00 : Track #4 turned out to be empty and was removed from output file
AV synchronization issues were found in file 'C:/Users/Videos/A1_t03.mkv' (title #4)
AV sync issue in stream 4 at 0:00:00 : Track #4 turned out to be empty and was removed from output file
AV synchronization issues were found in file 'C:/Users/Videos/A1_t04.mkv' (title #5)
AV sync issue in stream 4 at 0:00:00 : Track #4 turned out to be empty and was removed from output file
AV synchronization issues were found in file 'C:/Users/Videos/B5_t05.mkv' (title #6)
AV sync issue in stream 4 at 0:00:00 : Track #4 turned out to be empty and was removed from output file
5 titles saved, 1 failed
And this code is the same except I only targeted the main movie- to no avail. Which oddly is only 3.4GB. Which I would think it'd be larger?

Code: Select all

Saving 1 titles into directory C:/Users/Videos
Failed to save title 0 to file C:/Users/Videos/C1_t00.mkv
0 titles saved, 1 failed

Code: Select all

Title information
Comment: C1
Source title ID: 02
Duration: 1:24:26
Chapters count: 9
Size: 3.4 GB
Segment count: 1
Segment map: 1-9
File name: C1_t01.mkv
Image
 :?:

EDIT: I forgot to mention I used the physical DVD to rip the movie to no avail. And I also created a backup ISO to manually try to rip this movie. To no avail. So that takes away the case of a "dirty" disc.

You could try to use a different DVD opening mode to see, if that helps.

I just tried using the cell-walk, trim, full and auto. None of them work. I still get "0 title saved, 1 failed". This is so annoying.
As of now I assume there is NO (?)solution to this in MAKEMKV. Any devs here, help?

I also enabled the debug messages in preferences. And got this code:

Code: Select all

DEBUG: Code 1718 at hk!H1x7yblA*xWSq[0:29393746
LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: MKV_ASSERT: TimecodeDelay >= int16(0x8000) && TimecodeDelay <= int16(0x7FFF)
Failed to save title 0 to file C:/Users/Videos/C1_t00.mkv
0 titles saved, 1 failed
Since I couldn't get a tgz dump hopefully the debug helps for someone that knows about this? :|

Found a solution to anyone that encounters the "title saved 0, failed 1" just downgrade makemkv to version 1.12.2. For some reason the newest version higher will not rip some discs. :D

And in case anyone wants to have an "old version", you can install more than one copy of MakeMKV. I currently have a half-dozen or so versions installed, from 1.14 on up. Just give the install a different destination directory (and name) when you install.
