DEBUG: Code 100809218

I tried to rip a box set containing 3 dvd discs. Two of them ripped fine, but one of them does not.

After inserting the disc into the reader, I get the following error in the log:

DEBUG: Code 100809218 at XLZy#@p!6m/^{4B`f):121263429

before being able to open the disc in Makemkv.

In the information window, Make MKV indicates "no disc present".

The disc has no scratches and I cleaned it several times, to no avail.

I have tried with two dvd-readers and one bluray-reader with identical results.

What's wrong with this disc? Is there something else I could try?

I have tried polishing the disc with car wax, because it had some hardly visible scratches.

The result is even worse, scratches abundant. It's a write-off, unfortunately.
