I've got this drive:
Drive Information
OS device name: E:
Current profile: DVD-ROM
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: DRW-24B3ST j
Revision: 1.11
Serial number: J8D0CL025401
Highest AACS version: 62
and MakeMKV reports this in the Disc Info:
Label: SOUTH_PARK_VOLUME_2
Timestamp: 1998-09-28 12:48:38
Data capacity: 4.22 Gb
Disc type: DVD-ROM
Disc size: 120mm
Maximum read rate: 10.08 Mbps [1x]
Number of layers: 1 (PTP)
When ripping begins, MakeMKV creates the title file, but the size is 0 and remains there, while the read spead increases upwards of 3.5X and slowly drops. Nothing is written to the output file.
Any/all help is appreciated.

Re: Empty File Created (South Park)
Sorry to waste time, but waited about 10 minutes, and makemkv started to write to disk and completed.
Re: Empty File Created (South Park)
MakeMKV may have been writing all along... Both Windows Explorer and MacOS Finder have times when they will acknowledge that a file has been created, but will NOT update its size on a regular basis. Sometimes, Explorer won't even acknowledge that the file has been created, if it's on a network share.
