Wrong framerate in metadata

Post by cleric » Sat Sep 11, 2010 6:43 pm

When i rip a DVD and check the create mkv with ffmpeg -i
i get the following informations about the videostream:

Video: mpeg2video, yuv420p, 720x576 [PAR 16:15 DAR 4:3], 9800 kb/s, 25 fps, 25 tbr, 1k tbn, 50 tbc

The problem is the fps/tbr and tbc because the source is 50i. Shouldnt the fps/tbr set to 50 instead of 25?

As far as i know tbc is the estimated framerate from the sourcestream.

Hi!

You haven't stated whether this causes any problem(s) on playback...
