Hey MKV Team,
Many moons ago I digitized my home videos from tape to DVD, now I'm trying to digitize all of my home videos that were burned to a DVD to MKV. Unfortunately, it looks like the software I used didn't write the titles properly as MakeMKV has no idea what to do with them. The DVDs play fine in my regular DVD player and open great in VLC, but MakeMKV seems to have no idea what to do with the disk.
The disk has a menu to click Play, then it goes to the main feature, so the structure of the disk is pretty simply (VTS_02_1.VOB containing the actual video):
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_02_0.BUP
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_1.VOB
I've noticed in the debug log it states the titles are less than 1 second, so I tried dropping the minimum title length down to 0 in the preferences, but I still receive the same log below except the line saying the file was skipped is missing (the log just goes straight to Failed to open disc). The video (VTS_02_1.VOB) is 22 mins long.
Here is a copy of the Debug log, any thoughts would be appreciated.

Title #1 has length of 1 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Failed to open disc
I'm currently on Windows 10 running MakeMKV v1.10.4.
Appreciate any thoughts!

Re: Custom DVD
Depending on what you used to write them, there is a good chance the disk wasn't "finalized", so the directory isn't correct as you suspect.
Unless the software encrypted the data, though, you MAY be able to simply copy the file structure to a directory on your hard drive, and see if the individual VOB files can be opened with a tool like handbrake.
I have not tried to see if MakeMKV can work by opening the VOBs directly, but that might work, too.

Re: Custom DVD
Thank you! Handbreak worked well for these and now I have the home videos digitized!
