The Invaders 1967 TV Show

#1 Post by coldfire05 » Wed Sep 13, 2023 4:44 pm

I am using MKV to backup my library for my Plex server. When I rip "The Invaders", there are 3 episodes on each disc, but the layout is such that there are 2 files around 1.7GB, and 2 files around 5.3 GB. The 2 smaller files are of 2 of the 3 episodes, and the other larger files have all 3 of the episodes. I have never run into this before. How do I split the one large file that has all 3 episodes on it to single files, one for each of those episode?

TIA

I am just getting around to doing my copy of The Invaders. I ran into the same problem. MakeMKV rips the first episode on each disc as an individual MKV file, but for some reason doesn't rip the other episodes as individual files.

If you have CloneDVD from Elby software, that will allow you to pick individual episodes which can then be ripped as individual DVD Video files (could be burned to a DVD and played that way).

MakeMKV should be able to take those individual DVD files and create MKVs from them (I haven't tried yet).
