Failure to Copy

#1 Post by tongslib » Wed Oct 26, 2022 5:27 am

I am running into a persistent issue when trying to copy one of my disks and I'm not sure what is actually causing it or how it can be resolved. Every time I try to copy a particular disk, I get a "Copy complete. 0 titles saved, 1 failed error."

I'm wondering if it has to do with one of the debug log statements stating that it's assuming Title #1 is fake?

I've been copying over my collection of Poirot DVDs. I haven't had issues copying any of the other disks (except I always get a warning stating the disk was "processed by DvdFab/MacTheRipper" -- nonetheless, have been able to copy these disks without issue).

I'm having issues copying Series 6 Disc 1, however. I wondered if the disk itself was corrupt, but it plays in my Blu-Ray player without issue. The episode in question (Christmas Episode) plays fine, so the file and disk don't seem to be damaged or corrupt.

Drive: Archgon USB Drive (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1)
OS: Windows 10
Computer Asus ROG Strix G15

I enabled debug level log statements and have included them below:

--------------------
Title #1 declared length is 1:30:40 while its real length is 0:00:00 - assuming fake title
Failed to open disc
Using direct disc access mode
Title #1 was added (12 cell(s), 1:47:04)
Title #2 has length of 61 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #3 has length of 74 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Title #4 has length of 115 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
Operation successfully completed

I'm not sure what's going on here or how I can fix it, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Others have had trouble with that disk. It isn't clear to me that anyone's found the answer.
