DVD audio
I have stone temple pilots - core DVDA and Metallica - Black DVDa disc. When I try to rip them, makemkv is not picking up the dvda parts of the disc. On the STP disc, it only shows the included video for one song, but does not show any of the multi-channel music tracks. Same on Metallica, it finds the couple video sections for the interviews etc, but is not finding the actual multi-channel music. Am I doing something wrong or do I need different software?

"DVD-Audio" is another game than "DVD-Video". I know of two choices to access the "Audio-TS"-part of Audio-DVDs. Both old but working, both from the same developer:
Have a look at "DVDAExplorer2008.07.21" and/or the foobar2000-plugin "foo_input_dvda".

Edit: Not to forget the "DVD Audio Extractor" which is not freeware than the two tools mentioned above,
