Recent Handbrake/VLC failure in ripping DVD

Recent Handbrake/VLC failure in ripping DVD

Looking for advice on experience with a MacBook Pro running Lion (have not upgraded yet to Mountain Lion). I have the very latest Handbrake (9.8) and a patched VLC. Rented the following movies: "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and "Avengers." Like many, I rip movies and store them on my laptop for use on my Ipod Touch. "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" rips without a problem. "Avengers" consistently crashes Handbrake.

Any advice or thoughts?

Hi!

Discussions regarding rented or any other non-purchased commercial discs/videos is not appreciated at the MakeMKV forums...
"Avengers" consistently crashes Handbrake.

Any advice or thoughts?
