[Solved] Problem Encoding Tron DVD (original not Legacy)

Post by SidebandSamurai »

Hello,

I received the following errors when trying to encode Tron (the original movie). Here are some links to some screen shots to the errors that were seen.

The DVD is in pristine shape so I should not be seeing any read errors. I have used makemkv on over 40 dvd's already and not had a problem.

Thanks for the help.

Sincerely

The error means your drive can not read the disc.

There is no copy protection that can cause this on blu-ray.

Try cleaning the disc and try again. If that does not work return it for a new one.

Yup! thats what it was. I had cleaned it once but evidently it was not enough. So I used my special spray, buffed it real nice and prety and tried it again.

Thanks for the help. The surface of this DVD was cleaner than most I had already ripped, so I was really confused why it was saying that it was "Dirty"

Thanks alot
