Top Gun HD DVD - Fatal error occurred, program will now exit

Not sure where to post about HD DVDs, but I'm trying to open Top Gun with an LG GGC-H20L combo drive.

This issue appears to be a new bug, as in June 2019 I was able to successfully open and rip the disc.

When attempting to open the disc, while the progress bar shows "Decrypting", I get an error popup that says:

MakeMKV 1.17.3 not opening any HD DVD discs

HD DVD support seems to have been broken in the last couple of point releases.

So I reinstalled 1.17.2 and I'm getting different errors ripping the disc. I've previously ripped this disc, so I don't believe it to be the problem.

Any of this look familiar to anyone?
