Hello.
I have a movie that I have previously copied to two DVD disks using DVDFab. The first half of the movie is on disk 1, the second half is on disk 2.
I would like to rip the two disks to mkv's.
MakeMKV v1.15.1 can find and rip the titles on disk 1 ok, but for disk 2, it only finds Title #2 00:02 secs.
VLC Player can play both disks ok.
I have attached the MakeMKV debug logs here.
How can I rip the title from the second disk?
Thanks for your help.
DVD disk 2 - MakeMKV cannot not find the title, but VLC can.

You've added the wildcard of trying to rip an image created by another program. Do you have the original disk to try instead?

Did you tried "Open DVD files manually" ?
If the missing title is in one VTS VOB set, you can open the first VOB file of set VTS set in "MKVToolNIX GUI" and append the others (if any) VOB files to the first one (append !!, not open !! -> use right click on the first VOB in MKVToolNIX) and an MKV file file is created.
*Update*
"MKVToolNIX GUI" needs only the first VOB file (f.e. "VTS_01_1.VOB"), all others are appended automaticaly.

Re: DVD disk 2 - MakeMKV cannot not find the title, but VLC can.
Thanks, Grauhaar, both of your suggestions worked.
I wasn't aware of the "Open DVD files manually" feature, but, after enabling Expert Mode, MakeMKV found and extracted the missing title successfully. Very straight-forward.
MKVToolNIX was trickier, but after I figured out how to use it, it too converted the four VOB files into an MKV, with essentially the video content, but minus the chapter definitions etc.
All in all, a good result. Thanks.
