Two specific POSIX errors repeated many times

In general, MakeMKV always works perfectly for the vast majority of titles I ask it to transcode.

Posix error - No such device occurred while reading /VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB at offset 0

and, interspersed,

Posix error - Input/output error occurred while reading /dev/sr1 at offset 0

This happens after disk is mounted and I ask it to transcode the files it displays as having found, likely, the very first file. Then, an alert pops up:

MakeMKV BETA popup
Fatal error occurred, program will now exit.
