What happens if you allow MakeMKV to open the disk automatically?

It is possible that the manual choice points to an invalid collection of chapters. It's also possible that there is an error in the directory structure, either from a disk defect or something as simple as a fingerprint.

Please follow the steps in the FAQ link in my signature, and send the requested information to support@makemkv.com so that Mike can look at it. At the very least, it will help with recognizing the disk automatically.

Thanks for the reply.

When auto failed I tried manual to verify.

I will do that.

It's interesting that both DVDDecrypter and DVDFab10 are successful in extracting the DVD folders, but MKV tries on both also resulted in fails. Atm I've got DVDFab10 trying a MKV/H256 rip directly off the DVD, just to see...

[Update] Data sent. Also, DVDFab10 will successfully create a .mkv file in pass-thru mode. I have not completely viewed it yet but the film timing matches the DVD and file size matches what MKV had reported.
