mkv conversion failed: 0 titles saved, 1 failed

Post by jedimaster »

I am getting this error on several of my DVDs using 1.6.12. Most of those I have converted so far worked but about 25% are getting above error. I've tried doing ISOs (which were done without errors) but the same error pops up. Is there a way around this? One thing I've noted: the output size stays around 4.8k while the Read Rate keeps steadily increasing which means data is being read but nothing is being saved. I'm attaching a text file containg a log of the output screen. Hope that helps!

Hmm tried streaming the DVD and all went well...

Funny. Used DVDFab on the DVDs and was able to use MakeMKV with no errors... Weird since my DVDs are already backed-up DVDs

You have a broken rip ( VOB file is broken ). Please send the full log ( one written by MakeMKV and containing lines like vobs=Zxxx ) to support@makemkv.com, so workaround could be added.

@jedimaster

Hi!
Weird since my DVDs are already backed-up DVDs
Do you have the same problem with MakeMKV if you use the ORIGINAL, COMMERCIAL DVDs (instead of the backup copies) DIRECTLY with MakeMKV instead?

I have this same problem periodically with commercially produced disks. Whats up?
