Note: I'm able to create and burn an .mkv file from this 1998 disc which will my OPPO player will recognize as a DATA Disc. However when navigating to the MKV file, it plays without displaying any of the original's menu's.
Will MakeMKV successfully create a backup of the disc in question? On the first screen of MakeMKV, use the icon of the yellow folder with the green arrow. If it works, you should end up with an .iso file of the DVD.yankeeblue07 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2025 8:48 pmMy goal is to create a duplicate DVD or Bluray disc which when inserted into my player will function, complete with audio/dialogue menu choices identically to the original. Handbrake will not copy/duplicate an unavailable 1998 Billy Joel DVD with CSS/CPPM protection. Inserted libdvdcss-2.dll (version 1.4.3) file into Handbrake folder as instructed. As Handbrake won't copy my DVD, I'm wondering if I'm using the wrong libdvdcss file? Searching online for libdvdcss Win-64 bit file results in at least 3 websites, each with different file size versions (31kb, 46kb and 607kb). Does file size matter?
