This happened to me recently:
Here is my bug report:
I was making a MKV out of a movie (Tears of the Sun (2003) PAL) which I had previous ripped to my HDD as a video_ts folder.
It said there was 14449 VOBUs but as you can see from the picture the current VOBU is much larger.
It just keeps going, and the memory useage goes up to 4GB (my system has 4GB) and then the whole system becomes very slow, every program starts to freeze. Eventually a BSOD occurs.
I tried again after a reboot and the same thing happens, it uses all my memory and slows the system down. Then it gives a BSOD.
I am using MAKEMKV 1.6.10
Win7 x64
4GB RAM
i3-530
Let me know if you need more info.
Bug report - System freeze and BSOD on Win7 x64
Re: Bug report - System freeze and BSOD on Win7 x64
Okay, maybe this is the problem:
The movie contains some weird subtitle track, which has 'trivia' all the way through the movie like this:
Maybe that is the problem?

It looks like you're opening a badly done disc rip. Do you have the original disc?

Please try opening the original disc and post the result here. This might be a bug in MakeMKV but all sings show that it could be a bad rip by DvdFab.smashey wrote:Yes, I have the original disc.
