Ripping DVD does not rip extras

Post by jbrip »

So I'm trying to rip the man show season 1 volume 1, disc 3. The DVD has 4 episodes which rip okay. And there are six bonus materials on the DVD. MakeMkv was able to get one out of the six extra content from the DVD. Why is it missing the other five extra bonus content? please help.

I don't know what you need. I just upset makemkv wasn't able to rip the entire content (extras) on the DVD. If you need a log or screenshots let me know. Otherwise I have no clue why its not ripping the extra content when its clearly on the DVD. :(

Thanks for the help!

Without log information, the answer is, "don't know". Post the log info between

tags so we can see what MakeMKV saw.

The bonus content has six DVD extras as pictured above:

1. Father & son
2. Household hints from adult film stars
3. Karl Malone on...
4. Monkey bar
5. Girls on trampolines
6. Angeliques audition

So far Makemkv was able to rip bonus extra #5 "Girls on trampolines" which is two files. It was able to rip the main two [edit] full episodes. But, the bonus extras 1,2,3,4 and 6 are missing. Here is the log-

Do you know how long the extras are? Your minimum is set to 2 minutes (120 seconds), so anything shorter than that won't be selected to rip. Some people set 30 seconds for older disks, because a lot of extras are short; you have a lot of small files on that disk, including a 29-second one, which MAY be the extras you're looking for.

I'd try a shorter minimum (Preferences->Video->Minimum title length), starting at 30 seconds (my standard), but you may want to go down to 15 seconds on this disk.

Great. You just solved my issue. It grabbed the rest of the extras as well as the FBI warning thing lol. All in all, thanks! :D
