NCIS Season 20 DVDs disks won't rip

I recently bought Season 20 of NCIS on DVD which is a 6 disk set. The first 4 disks just fine with Makemkv, but the last 2 disks can't be ripped. When I go to open the disks in Makemkv, i get a series of errors & then it only "sees" one of the 4 episodes. I have it set to ignore anything under 20 minutes in length.

I'm using MakeMKV v1.17.5 under Windows 11. Any ideas on what is causing this?

Error 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_04_1.VOB' at offset '0'

That error often indicates the optical drive was unable to correctly the disc. The standard advice is to gently clean the disc and try again.

I'm pretty sure that I had problems ripping this with my LG drive too. I did manage to recover more episodes after cleaning and repeated attempts. My external Pioneer-based drive didn't have a problem though.
