Unable to convert two titles from Complete Pluto Vol 2 Disc 1

Post by themadhatter0 »

Hello!
I've been using MakeMKV for almost two years now, slowly going through and ripping my DVD and Blu-ray disc collection.
Today, I tried ripping the Walt Disney Treasures, Complete PLuto Volume 2, Disc 1 and two of the titles, title0 (the title with the combined shorts), and title7 (Pueblo Pluto) fail to rip.

I've tried cleaning the disc (there are no noticeable scratches) but it still fails.
While opening the disc, I see these errors reported:

Code: Select all

Can't locate a cell for VTS 1 TTN 14 PGCN 14 PGN 2
Can't locate a cell for VTS 3 TTN 7 PGCN 7 PGN 2
And then while ripping the disc, both error. I get what appears to be partial files for both titles; however, they won't play in VLC.

Title 7 appears to play fine in VLC (I'm not as concerned with title0, because I rip the individual shorts) and I've been able to use DVD Shrink to reauthor title 7 into files on disc. When I open the VTS_01_1.VOB file in MakeMKV, I receive no errors; however, I still get a failure trying to save it.

I enabled debug mode and this is what shows up in the console:

Code: Select all

Opening files on harddrive at C:/Video/PLUTO2/VIDEO_TS
Title #1 was added (1 cell(s), 0:06:47)
DEBUG: Code 233 at ddgREk8MEU5v/USkrDWKczrU:0
Operation successfully completed
Saving 1 titles into directory C:/Video/UNNAMED DISC
LIBMKV_TRACE: Exception: MKV_ASSERT: TimecodeDelay >= int16(0x8000) && TimecodeDelay <= int16(0x7FFF)
Failed to save title 0 to file C:/Video/UNNAMED DISC/title_t00.mkv
0 titles saved, 1 failed
Any thoughts on what might be causing this or what might work to solve it?

Thanks!

I found a forum topic (from maybe an old makemkv site?) where folks found success using version 12.2 of Make MKV; I tried that and was able to rip the title successfully.

Maybe this is a regression issue of some sort?
