Somehow ripped 38gb off a regular DVD?
I'm more curious than confused as I know there must be an answer. I have a regular DVD, not sure quite where the main film is so I just ripped the whole thing, some I ended up with 38 gigs worth of files. How did 38gb fit on an ordinary disk?

That would do it. Thanks!

Or it's a Lionsgate disk, with multiple fake titles.

Yes, they do.
I first saw it on Divergent - 8 copies of the movie with the correct approximate run time on the DVD, with only one being correct. There were others that had run times more than a minute off the official run time.

Re: Somehow ripped 38gb off a regular DVD?
Most likely.
I love MakeMKV but if I need to rip a DVD from Lionsgate I usually have to use a different product as, if it's not a bunch of fake titles, it's a title that purposely points to an invalid region of the disc, which causes read errors.
I know Mike is focusing mostly on UHD, and I buy mostly UHD titles, but a little bit of time on DVDs still might be in order as some titles are still not available on BD or UHD.
