This one indicates that MPEG video stream is corrupted (really). Do other discs show similar error?

i don’t think the problem is attributed to the fact that the file is corrupted because I used a different conversion software and the conversion was successful.
for this reason, I have decided to use the other program.
obviously, there is no comparison with makemkv.
all of the other ripping programs convert the video and audio streams of the DVD while makemkv simply doesn’t convert anything, putting original video and audio streams into a mkv container, saving a noticeable amount of time.
i would like to use the program in the future so I hope the next release resolves some of these issues.

good job to you and the all of the staff :D

I get the same error with self authored DVDs on disk (using "TMPGEnc DVD author" or "GUI_DVDauthor") - it worked fine up to v1.5.8, all later versions result in the error 0 titles saved, 1 failed :(

Hi!

The fact that some other conversion programs, such as DVDFab and others, are willing to skip over bad sectors (actually replace them with dummy sectors) doesn't prove that your disc doesn't contain any problematic sectors.

While in some instances, replacing bad sectors with dummy sectors can result in an acceptably playable disc, many times, those sectors can be critical for proper playback and their replacement will result in an unplayable disc.

MakeMKV behaves properly with discs that are not physically damaged or soiled...

My self authored files are not corrupted, because those are mainly TV recordings (demuxed, cut and remuxed with standard tools). And additionaly: all files still can be converted with v1.5.8 (I downgraded again), but none of them with any of the newer versions :!:

Then your error is different from ZENTROPA's . If 1.5.8 can open your disc and 1.6.3 can't then it's clearly an error. Please create a new thread for TV recordings and post the log file here. I'm closing this thread as we're discussing too many unrelated problems here.
