Hi All,
First post here and trying to find anything on my issue with minimal luck.
I am trying to rip Forrest Gump from DVD (The Special Collector's Edition from 2006). It starts fine, my drive gets up to 4.0X transfer, but around 50-60% complete the transfer stops/stalls with the read rate bottoming out to 0.0X and the Elapsed/Remaining time starts to climb. The first attempt I made at this I left overnight and came back to Elapsed 7:XX:XX/Remaining: 21:XX:XX. Just really confused on this one. I have ripped discs (and am doing so now) with far more damage/scratches with absolutely clean results. For some reason just this disc is giving me nightmares. I will attach a screenshot of my current attempt.
I have tried to research the issue but can't find anything that has worked for me, and am going to have to resort to finding another copy somehow.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Forrest Gump

Re: Forrest Gump
The messages in the log about 'the source file being corrupt or invalid at #####' are indicative of the drive not being able to correctly read the disc.
The standard advice is to clean the disc and try again.
If you have a different drive you can try that might help too. In my experience, some drives just don't like some discs.
A final solution is to just replace the disc. I see Amazon.com in the USA has a blu-ray version of Forrest Gump for about $8 at the moment.
