DVD loses last half of chapters

I have a (what I'm presuming is a bootleg) DVD from eBay, it's a TV show, with 23 episodes as one Title with 23 Chapters. When i play the disc with VLC it shows all 23 chapters. But when i open it with MakeMKV i get this:

MakeMKV v1.17.5 win(x64-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
Cells 14-23 were removed from title end
Title #1 was added (13 cell(s), 5:17:37)
Operation successfully completed

it chops off the last 1/2 of the disc. What is causing this and what can i do to fix it? I can convert it through VLC but i'm not about to let a disc run for 8+ hours... (there's 19 discs in the set)

Does using any of the various DVD Opening Modes help?

No. I tried those and it didn't chnage anything

Have you tried just copying the disc contents onto your PC? If it does copy and isn't encrypted maybe you will be able to extract meaningful files through other means.

You should give the Manual Mode a try and see, if selecting track 1 this way gives you all chapters.
