Well the OP in the second report has just now advised that it was a false alarm.
The first report is kind of ambiguous as the disc itself appears dodgy, so I wouldn't get too worried about it.
The third report is definitely legit though because I can reproduce it. So something was changed between 1.16.7 and 1.17.6 that has broken compatibility with discs published by Entertainment One. I suppose the next step is for me to try each release between the two versions until I reach the one that breaks it, then you should be able to look at the release notes and see what caused it. This could take some time...

- A new, rewritten DVD engine - much better handling for discs with structure protection
Announced here: DVD opening modes - CellWalk, CellTrim, CellFull
To the best of my knowledge, this feature remains WIP. IIRC, people have had success w/ 'CellTrim' on problem discs.

Yep you're right, I've got success with 1.16.7 and the next version after that was 1.17.0 which is not compatible with this disc so whatever was introduced in 1.17.0 is breaking compatibility with these structure protected discs published by E One, and none of the cell modes resolve it.
