MKV files keep playing endlessly, how to STOP?

Hello everyone!

I converted a number of DVD's into MKV files. Of some just the main movie, some complete. The player (Sumvision Primus 2) is set to non auto play.

So, a movie is chosen and I click 'play'. All goes well. However, at the end of the movie the MKV file starts AGAIN. (Both complete movies and just the main)

I have tried several things, put the MKV files in folders on the hard drive, reset the Sumvision but no matter what, once the movie has finished it automatically starts AGAIN.

I won't explain why (.....) but at the end of the movie the MKV file should NOT start playing again by itself. How can I make sure the player will NOT start playing again? (I don't have this problem with DVD Decrypter and Shrink, at the end of a movie the movie will not play again by themselves but Make MKV is a 1 step process and I like that so I want to use Make MKV instead)

Thank you!

Does your player have "repeat track" turned on?

No. Else it would play endlessly and that I don't want.

OK, confusion here... You say the problem is that your player keeps repeating the MKV file, but that the suggested cause for it doing that isn't the problem, because it would keep repeating the MKV file if it was?

My player does not have the possibility to repeat a movie by itself. I can set it to auto play but that could mean the first file it finds is played automatically. Anyway, that function is set to 'off'.

So, I start up the player (I got 4 of them by the way, all Sumvision Cyclone Primus 2) and choose a file. (Now MKV as I am using Make MKV) Then the chosen movie starts playing. When finished it starts playing the same movie again. THAT I do not want!

There is nothing I know of in MakeMKV that could create a file that auto-repeats.

What happens if you play the file in question on a computer using VLC?

Well ......... I got VLC on my computer and I tried just that this afternoon. The movies (or parts there of) keep repeating themselves too.

What movie? Does it say "Lionsgate" on the box as the distributor?

If so, you ripped the wrong title.
