Should i compress subtitles

Its a good idea to compress subtitles in view of compatibility?
Some devices need PGS subtitles to be compressed, which is why there is a WDTV profile available. But most either support PGS in MKV, or don't, and the compression doesn't matter.
That said, my default profile has been modified to compress the PGS subtitles, just in case.
