Can't skip chapters on some MKV movies

I have two Oppo players, the BDP-105 and 95 and stream my MKV movies to them, all created from my SD DVDs (and two BDs so far with no problem). I can't think of why *some* MKV movies won't allow me to next-chapter-skip -- only fast-forward -- and others have no such issues. These movies all have multi-chapters when I load the original DVDs into MakeMKV -- I even redid one ("Damsals in Distress") to make sure the chapters showed up in MakeMKV creating the MKV.
I can skip chapters when playing them on my pc with VLC, but not in the Oppo players. Again, this is only with several movies >MKV...not all.
Any help of advice would be much appreciated.
PS: What an awesome program, this MKV! I can't believe I *just* discovered it a week ago

That is an issue with the players themselves. Unless you remove the chapter track from the MKV file (and yes, there are tools that let you do that), it is copied in to be used by players that understand it.
I have a couple of players that can read MKV files directly. If they are local files (flash drive or local hard drive), chapter skip works. Same file across the network, chapter skip does NOT work.

That seems normal, if the cues (index) is at the end of the file.

Thanks for the tip! Copying the few problematic (no-chapter-skip player control) MKV movies to a thumb drive worked like a charm when viewed on my Oppo players. How odd that some MKVs allow this control in wi-fi mode and others don't.
Oh well, at least I know it's not just me

Update and Eureka!!
I've been trying a demo of JRiver Media Center and -- wow! -- I can now skip chapters on
ALL when streaming MKV movies created with MakeMKV to my Oppo!
I was previously using a freebie called oShare (a very basic, super-simple DLNA compliant media server) when I ran into the issue.
JRiver is worth every cent, especially with its massive music/video/photo library-creation features (and many I haven't even explored). Hallelujah -- I'm purchasing it today!
