Newb question on choosing titles to extract

Ok, so I've gotten past the hard part of flashing drives and am now digging into my pile of disks.
One of the head scratchers I keep coming across is figuring out which title to rip:
In this example, there are two titles, both 60.8GB, and one title mentions 13 chapter(s), while the other does not. I"ve ripped them both. They are the same size, and I can't find any obvious difference between them during playback. Depending on the player I'm using, both seem seem to allow skipping chapters. Which one should I choose?
On a separate (but possibly related note), is there any way to rip a complete title with menus, or are they already there, and I simply haven't figured out how to access them?
Thanks for helping out the almost not-new guy!

Just pick the one with chapters. Like you noticed, they are most likely identical besides that difference. This usually happens on discs that don't use seamless branching for the main feature: The one with chapters is the .mpls playlist file, while the one without is the raw .m2ts stream.
As for menus, MakeMKV does not preserve any menus if you rip to .mkv files. If you want to keep menus, you should make a decrypted disc backup instead.

Thank you! I've also been ripping/storing decrypted backups, but I'm struggling with how to actually play them. VLC seems to barf, as does my Zidoo player, if I point them at the folder or the BDMV file directly within. If I'm missing something obvious, please let me know!

You need to point it at the folder one layer up from the BDMV folder.
