I'm sure most of you are aware of the terrible vocals in some movies. I have been running them thru Audacity and boosting the vocals, and also in some cases cutting back on very loud passages, so loud in fact there distorted in fact.
Blu-rays are especially difficult because of 5 channel setups. I'm afraid the only way I have so far is to break them down into stereo.
Its a bit time consuming, sometimes 5 or 6 hours, which I usually break down into 2 hour stints at a time.
I'm working on Alita Battle Angel currently, and I'm at the 55 minute mark.
I realize stereo tracks aren't the best, but was wondering If anyone else does this at all ?
Basically I break out the audio track using the MKVToolNix and then put it into Audacity, sometime breaking it down to Stereo. Then go thru the file and boost vocals or cut down load passages or both depending on the file. Then I put back the file using MKVToolNix again and just use the new file and omit the old one.
