I tried to rip the Tai Chi Master 4k blu ray and it says failed to open.

The FAQ says email the TGZ file for the movie what is that how do I find it?

When you are opening a disk, if MakeMKV cannot decode it (yet), a path to a .TGZ file will be posted to the log window. That is the .TGZ file that needs to be sent to svq@makemkv.com for decoding, if it hasn't already been sent (popular disks have others sending the file, and announcing it here).

Updating depends on your settings. As long as your system can grab the update file, it will, as soon as it is available.

Some systems have DNS settings or internet providers that will no allow connections to Russian servers, in which case, you will need to address that. MakeMKV will report not being able to get the file when you try to rip the disk.
