Very low vocal tracks

Post by mooneye »

While the files are ripped smoothly, whenever I play them back the vocal tracks are much lower than it should be and are drowned out by the background music and sound effects. I've tried switching the audio track, updating VLC to the newest version and deleting the files and re-ripping the disc. I swapped discs to see if it was an isolated issue - I used Promare and Detective Pikachu and got the same result with both, so it's a user/computer/program issue and not a disc problem. Any ideas?

Actually, it's a disk issue in most cases, with what I've found. Some disks (by default) favor background stuff on the "primary" audio.

Primary audio is SUPPOSED to be the main track, but not necessarily. Have you checked to see if there are other tracks available?

I've checked and tried all of them; they all have the same issue, even the foreign language tracks.
