Hello All,
I've a lot of m2ts files my set top box generate when tapping a TV channel.
I would like to save some of them into a physical DVD in native DVD format in order to archive and play them.
I can't devise a way to do this. So I'll thought asking you is the way to go as you're the experts.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Have a nice and bright day.

You need DVD authoring software, and you may not be able to do it for a single disk.

Your m2ts file is most likely using either h.264 or h.265 compression. For a DVD, that needs to be MPEG2, which will be significantly bigger. Depending on the source, it could grow by a factor of 3 to 10 times.

But, you will have the advantage that DVD is limited to 720x480 video, so that might work in your favor.

I'd suggest testing by using handbrake, set to output MPEG2 and resizing to 480p. This won't be suitable for a "native" DVD, which requires interlaced video, but it will at least let you know if the output can be kept to dual-layer DVD size (under 8GB). The DVD authoring software will normally do the interlacing for you during its conversion.
