when the movie is played in a dvd player it works fine
when I rip the movie with mkv the sound makes a buzz sound and the video jumps
I was wondering why

Does MakeMKV produce an error or any unusual messages during the rip?

And what software are you playing it with? Not all software supports all codecs that can be found on DVDs. Most modern programs do, but older ones can be hit-or-miss.
