UHD Rip with Dolby Vision disabled?

Is it possible to use the latest versions of MakeMKV to rip a DV encoded UHD disk without the dolby vision data? I thought this might be possible through a custom profile, but can't find how to do it.
My TV only displays HDR10, so I could get smaller filesizes without DV.

I don't think that the DV information makes the file much larger. Probably not enough to worry about.
And you may in the future upgrade to a TV that supports DV. In that case you'd have to re-rip all of your movies.

The extra space for DV varies by disk. Some can add quite a bit. Anyway, I rip the disks to a hard drive to watch on the TV. I don't keep a permanent copy and can always rip again in the future if I get a TV with DV.
Is it possible to set makemkv to ignore the DV layer?

I'm not aware of a way to do so. You could try an older version of MakeMKV from before it supported DV. Or perhaps try removing it after the fact using MKVToolNix.
Or keep it and buy a bigger hard drive.
Personally, I have a rip once and never touch the disc again goal.
