Newbie: Successfully ripped, but how to start a movie?

Well, the software ripped the movie, with apparent success. How does one play the movie? There are a few folders and many files. Which file does one play?

Ripped via which method, "Backup", or "Open->Save as MKV"?

If you used "Backup", your player needs to be "Bluray aware", in that it understands and can play unencrypted BD file structures.

If you used "Open->Save as MKV", your player needs to be able to handle MKV files, in which case you just have it open the main movie MKV file.
