Hi all,

Complete rookie here, so go easy please.

Setup:
Windows7/32
MakeMKV 1.6.3
MPC-HC 1.4.2499
FFdshow 3631
MadVR 0.34
HW: Intel Core i3 Mobile Processor (Asrock Core 100 BD machine)


I have searched quite a bit and read through numerous posts on another forum, but I am still puzzled on exactly what is the ideal setup/configuration of MPC-HC, FFdshow and MadVR when playing mkv files (made with Makemkv)

i ask because after having finally gotten bitstreaming sound to work with MPC and FFDshow, I threw MadVR into the mix to improve picture, and now it is all choppy. I understand it could be my HW setup, but would like to check that I have done things right in the setup.

Anyone have a guide with screen dumps of all the relevant settings in the 3 programs, or should I post screendumps of my setups?

I took for granted that when posting in a section regarding 'MKV file playback', readers would be able to read between the lines, but you are right - I did not mention MakeMKV, my bad.

Sooo, to answer your question, I rip all my BR films using MakeMKV. Now, I want to make sure I view them with optimal quality of sound and picture. Hence my original question.
