fast forward and chapter with mkv playback

Post by scuba » Wed Oct 05, 2011 1:42 pm

Hi Guys,

Make Mkv is great and and my playback is fine.
The problem i have is that my Samsung bd player (playing fromm hdd via usb) is unable to fast forward or chapter jump etc.
It can play or pause only.

I can convert a blu ray file to mkv with other programs and it works fine.

I would prever to stick with make mkv.. is anyone familiar with this issue and can it be fixed with make mkvs own settings?

cheers

I have the same issue with my Oppo BR player. I convert with handbrake and the chapters work fine. I like MakeMKV a lot - but the chapters not working is the only major drawback. I would definitely use MakeMKV again once they fix that.

I had the same problem, run the mkv file through a program called mkvmerge GUI. get it here http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVtoolnix
Add the file go to muxing and add the command line options and select clusters in meta seek, this should fix the problem. Takes about 15 mins

Is it also possible to play multiple movies continuously? Like if you have part1, 2, 3 and so forth.. Is it?
