Converting Dolby Vision profile 5 to 8.1
I've been able to convert profile 7 Dovi mkvs to 8.1 with ffmpeg and dovi_tool, but is there a way for profile 5 Dovi files? Specifically, I want to transcode the video file down to a smaller size in Handbrake and then add back the RPU, but with the picture in profile 5, being green and purple, I don't know how to add/extract a HDR10 base layer. Any help would be appreciated.

Eventhough RPU can be ripped, profile 5 uses proprietary IPTPQc2 colorspace. Without DV licensed SW/HW I doubt if it can be viewed properly or decoded.
IME often P5 has already been compressed the hell out of (sadly this is visible with quite some streams). So - even if possible - for purpose of saving space I doubt if recoding to HDR10 BL would be a sane idea.
One of the common practices nowadays is ripping RPU from P5, convert to 8.1 and inject it into HDR10 from another source.
