Help Dvd ripping

I been getting lot of this? anyone know how to fix it? I don't know what this is called but it happens lot when I rip any of the dvds I have.

I am not a pro. :) But I think the deinterlace option in VLC will work.

Looks like interlacing to me as well.

It's not a problem with the program it's just the way the source is, it'd look perfectly fine on an older tube television.

You get it bad with MakeMKV because it brings the video to your computer as is, if you encode that video using some kind of encoder you'd have the option to deinterlace it, or you should have the ability to deinterlace your titles within your software player of choice on your computer(most can), but that can result in artifacts of it's own. It's unfortunately probably always going to be that way with old titles unless they get some kind of fancy remaster and re-release.

Besides interlacing it could also be telecine. Please post mediainfo output of the file.

seems like deinterlace worked made it look better, is this what you want?

Most likely if it is american it is telecined and not interlaced.
