#1 Post by Bionic71 » Fri Aug 12, 2011 11:28 am

I'm using VidCoder quite often for some of my MakeMKV backups.
Thought I should bump that final version of VidCoder v1.0 just launched.

VidCoder is a DVD/Blu-ray ripping and video transcoding application for Windows.
It uses HandBrake as its encoding engine.

VidCoder is now out of beta - Aug 11 2011
Status -> Stable
VidCoder-1.0.0-x86 / VidCoder-1.0.0-x64
  • Multi-threaded
    MP4, MKV containers
    H.264, MPEG-4, Theora video
    AAC, MP3, Vorbis, AC3 audio encoding and AAC/AC3/MP3/DTS/DTS-HD passthrough
    Target bitrate, size or quality for video
    2-pass encoding
    Decomb, detelecine, deinterlace filters
    Batch encoding

You will need .NET 4 using VidCoder.
The VidCoder UI (and C# interop) is written by RandomEngy.
The core encoding engine is written by the amazing HandBrake team.
