Please pardon my ignorance if this question has been asked anywhere else.
But if I'm ripping MKV files for use in a system that has an Atmos-capable receiver, do I need to rip the Dolby Digital lossy core as well? Will the Atmos track still work if I exclude the lossy track?

In this case Dolby Digital is optional, you don't have to select it, if you need it then rip it. It doesn't affect the Atmos track.
