AppleTV 4.2.1 Breaks Audio in HD Movies

#1 Post by byufan@me.com » Sat Mar 26, 2011 8:02 pm

I update my apple tv to the latest 4.2.1 and all the movies that I used to rip my BluRay movies now have NO audio. All my other regular dvd's that were ripped with HandBrake work just fine. I took one of my bluray movies and re-ripped with HandBrake and it works, except it is 5.1 surround now. I really don't want to re-rip all my blurays. Is there a way to fix this?

MakeMKV's output isn't compatible with the AppleTV so this is neither a MakeMKV nor an MKV-related issue TBH.

The information found in the HandBrake encode logs (saved to disk) may help (follow the link for your platform): https://forum.handbrake.fr/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2741

I see what you are saying. I am using MKV to rip the BluRay, then I am using Aunsoft MTS converter and that seems to be my issue. I will leave them a post and see what is up with the SOUND. Thanks.
