Bitstream HD Audio to Asus HDAV slim??

#1 Post by lambo » Tue Mar 23, 2010 3:30 am

Hi
Was wandering if any one here has any idea on how I can bitstream the HD audio (trueHD and DTS-hdM) ripped with Makemkv?

I currently use a asus hdav slim with TMT to bitstream the audio to my amplifier however when ripped with just the hd audio no sound gets played through my amp.. And so I have to settle with ripping just the core audio tracks for now.

Help much appreciated as I have had not much luck researching on the internet.

Thanks

Z.

I've stayed away from the ASUS card for now just because you "have" to use TMT. In TMT are you able to select multiple audio streams? Does it show the audio stream as TrueHD or DTS_MA? You should be able to include both the HD and standard core during the MakeMKV process (click on both the HD lossless and sub tree DD or DTS core) and select the appropriate stream during playback.

Guys,

I've been bitstreaming HD sound using my Slim for a couple months now but you need to use MPC-HC with the Arcsoft audio renderer, see links:

Word of warning - I updated my TMT3 and the latest audio renderer didn't work so I had revert to older edition.

Have you tried the latest FFDShow + MPC HC? I have no issues bitstreaming DTS(MA) and TrueHD using a 5670 GPU or a core i5 system. I don't know if the same applies for your card but hopefully it should. Here is my guide on how to do:

hm, since upgrading to Win7 x64, I've got problems using ffdshow for raw video postprocessing/upscaling of DVD/Xvid/DivX movies with MPC-HC..
