bad quality after ripping blu ray

Hello, im trying to rip my bluray with the verbatim reader. But when i play them on vlc the quality is really bad, especially for dark scene.

I tried a lot of thing but nothing change... can you help me ?

MakeMKV copies the media streams (video and audio) as is and checks the hash values to make sure no errors occurred. There is no re-encode or any change of the content beside decrypting and repacking it inside a Matroska container.

So if the quality is bad, there are only two possibilities:
  1. the quality of the content on the blu-ray itself is low (higher compression due to a large number of bonus content or long run times that need space)
  2. your PC (hardware or software) is the problem
You could try another player (e.g, MPC-HC), check Hardware acceleration and video render settings.
