DVD Subtitles Plays From Disc But Not Available In List

I have a DVD "I Kissed a Vampire" that plays subtitles via VLC just fine. But when I got to convert it to MKV, the movie track doesn't show an option for subtitles. Just the Video and Audio Checkbox. I made an MKV from the DVD just to test and as expected no subtitles were copied into the MKV.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Subtitles should normally be listed AFTER the audio tracks in that window. There was nothing else when you scrolled down?
