When you highlight a title in the left menu, the information about that title (file name, duration, etc.) is displayed in the lower right side of the screen.
The difference between MakeMKV's and VLC's title numbers are going to be dependent on a number of factors, such as what you set as the minimum file length. If there are 20 files smaller than your minimum (default 120 seconds), VLC will count them, but MakeMKV won't.
Generally speaking, if you are NOT dealing with Lionsgate titles, the movie time listed should be easy enough to match up with a specific title.
